A car lover from way back and looking though this site has brought back memories. Has anyone heard of an Oldsmolbile Dynamic 88? That was my very first car? A burgandy red convertible that was the biggest gas guzzler of all time. My dad made me save three months of car payments before he cosigned the loan and picked it out for me. I didn't even know what kind of car he was planning on buying for me and really didn't care. I was 17 and I just graduated high school in 1967 and needed the freedom that any set of wheels would give me. Can you imagaine my surprise when he pulled up in the driveway with this prize convertible that I thought was the coolest car ever? Many years and many cars later, I still remember the excitement of that special day.
I hope I can squeeze a little time in every week to build my garage on boompa.com. I need to find pictures of some pretty old cars and I've got to get the photo albums out since there were no digital pics in my day. It might take a little while but the task will be fun.
