shaggy owns:

Mean Green Machine - 2005 Lotus Elise

Bought this Lotus new in February of 2006 at Dimmitt Luxury Motors in Clearwater Florida.  I've owned it for about 10 months now and have had little to no problems with the car.  Handling is unlike anything I've ever driven, the power is good although it could use a bit more, just an all around fun car!
You can see some better photos (the color is a bit off on the ones here) and read more about the car at My Lotus Elise Blog.

Current list of modifications include:

  • Alpine CDA-9856 CD-Player with 3rd generation iPod attached
  • Sector111 Lidbone (revised engine lid prop)
  • European 111R decals
  • Green Filter airfilter & modified intake airbox

Future modifications include:
  • Aftermarket header & exhaust
  • Carbon Fiber front splitter
  • Tri-Point supercharger
  • Aftermarket wheels
  • HID's

Thanks to parts prices being so high with these cars, the future list will be accomplished slowly!

shaggy wants to own:

Dream Come True - Lamborghini Gallardo

I got to see my first Murcielago & Gallardo for the first time about 4 months ago when I was buying my Elise. The Murcielago is damn nice but the Gallardo really stole my heart. This is the car I want to some day be able to afford. Right now it costs as much as the house we're living in so that day is at the very least "pretty far off".

shaggy used to own:

Yellow SX - Suzuki Aerio

Bought this car new in 2003 when I was in college and wanting a break from the car scene for a bit. It's been my daily driver for 3 years now and hasn't given me any trouble whatsoever. I recently bought a 2005 Lotus Elise so now this car really only gets driven in the rain or to the hardware store. The sad thing is that the Lotus gets a lot better gas mileage than this thing (27mpg compared to 21-22mpg).

**UPDATE** The Suzuki has been traded in on the 2006 Subaru Legacy GT

G60 Rabbit - 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit

Bought this car around 1999. Had a stock G60 in it from a 90 Corrado. I delivered pizzas in this car for about two years or so and drove the piss out of it every day. Very reliable and very quick (for what it was), ran consistant 14 flat in the quarter mile with controlled traction issues and ratty street tires.

Panda Hatch - 1994 Honda Civic

Bought this car to use as a daily driver back when I had my drag car (G60 Rabbit, track use only). Stock Civic dx with an intake, exhaust, suspension, wheels, headlights, etc... When I bought it the car already had the two black fenders, I kinda liked the way it looked so I left them black for a really long time.

92 Crossflow Cabby - Volkswagen Cabriolet

Bought this car to use as a fun daily driver. Had a 2.0L crossflow motor from a 95 Golf as well as the Golf's tranny and gauge cluster. Motor had a bit of headwork, lumpy cam, full Sebring exhaust and an intake. Car was quick for what it was although I never tracked it to get a definite number.

Lowrider CRX - Honda CRX

Bought this car when I was 18. Car surely isn't for everyone but no detail was overlooked. The CRX was broken into and stripped in Columbus Ohio about a month before Carl Casper auto show in Louisville.

G60 Drag Rabbit - 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit

Competed with this car for two years at local drag events. Ran 12.5's @ 113mph at Mountain Parkway Motorplex in Clay City KY. Those runs were no traction runs where the full size slicks would be spinning all the way through the top of 5th. The torque listed isn't a misprint, the car made 207hp and 247 ft/lbs on a Dynojet with a messy 50 shot of nitrous.

2.1 16V Scirocco - 1987 Volkswagen Scirocco

This car was featured in a 1994 issue of European Car when they did an article on Louisville Kentucky VW's. The previous owner built the car up to what it was. 2.1 16V with massive headwork and motor work, full european look conversion (bumpers, headlights, etc), fully recovered interior, etc...

ShagginWagon - Volvo 740 GLE

Traded my 2.0L Crossflow Cabby for this car back in 2002/2003.

Corrado #2 - Volkswagen Corrado

I bought this Corrado back when I had the black G60 Rabbit. Owned it for about a year until it got totalled by a hit and run semi driver. Ended up trading it to Nate Romero for the silver drag Rabbit shell. This car is now the Race101 Corrado that runs 10's with a naturally aspirated 20V.

Corrado #1 - Volkswagen Corrado

This was my first Volkswagen. Owned it back in 1998. This car had more problems than any other I've owned (out of 32 total).
