Bought new in October, 2004, for quite a good price as they were making room for the new 2005s at the time. Its a 5sp of course, since automatics suck. Not the fastest thing, but a fun daily driver that sees lots of weekend roadtrip miles throughout New Mexico, Arizona, and west Texas.
The college ride. 5 years and had over 200k miles on it when i sold it for parts. At that time it had no 5th or reverse, but would still do 120mph in 4th. Probably the most fun car I've ever owned. I drove this car like it was stolen every day. It had been hit, rallycrossed, gone off into ditches on lake superior pro rally stages, stuck in mud, snow, gone off a sharp icy ramp and through a sign, jumped...you name it. What a champ. Sadly, rust had finally taken its death hold and I got rid of it.
3 liter Vulcan Power (hahaha), 5 sp. Had some duals on it but one of them fell off haha. 32" Kumho Mud Terrains. Did some mild offroading with it and had one really good stuck when i broke through a frozen crust into really deep mud in January. Good times. Sold it because it didn't have AC and I was moving to Texas. No AC in Texas just ain't happening.
This was a fun car while it lasted. TSi AWD, 5 sp, 16g turbo, homemade boost controller, 3" catback. Was really quick for really cheap for a while until the transmission died a horrible death. Much noise and grinding. Sold for a loss, didn't have the time or money to fix it. Wish I could find some better pics of it, but I had it before I had a digital camera.
My first car. This car sucked beyond all belief. I hated it with such a passion that i beat the shit out of it. Neutral slams. blah. those are lame. full speed reverse slams into drive with it floored. now thats where its at. Its sitting in a junkyard now.
Moved to Colorado and love the mountains...all year round...so the Mustang and I had to sadly part ways. BUT! This thing is quick! Gotta love turbos and AWD, plus it'll haul 2 mountain bikes in back or skis and snowboards...very important here.
