About this Ride
Type: Automobiles
Model: 1967 Cadillac De Ville

Owner: one4sj
Real Name: Witheld
Location: San Jose, US.

I bought from the original owners, an older couple. The husband had lost his eyesight, so he could no longer drive. I used to drive by their house everyday asking them to sell it to me.  Then one bright sunny day, they broke down and offered to sell it to me for the nominal price of $20,000. This was back in 1997. It was all original at the time and was running great. Over the years my driving took a toll on it. Things on it started to fall apart. My mom never liked me to drive the car, thinking it would get me into trouble. And wouldn't you know, the day she passed away, the engined died. That was a sign telling me not drive it anymore. So i decided to rebuild it, and give it a little more style. I started the remodeling project that same month in August of 06' and got it back up an running in February of 07'. Since I am a mechanic I did the majority of the work myself. Built an all new engine, sent out all the parts to get chromed out, painted it and had the interior done by a local guy who is well known for his good work.  When you look through the pictures you will see the work in progress, down to the finished ride heading out to the car shows. I still have some cosmetic work that I would like to do, as the wife permits in my allowance.

I am real interested to get opionions of how it is coming along, since I have those of all the local car enthusiasts that know me and my car.  Any good ideas? Tips/shortcuts on fiberglassing a trunk? Please share, I am headed out to start on that project now..........
