Hi, I've been into VW's a long time now, over 20 years.
I was at bug jam no.1 I was working at Volkspares at the time and a little crew of us went to Santa pod to check it out. Obviously in those days I was much more into air cooled,and in my time have owned four beetles three bays and a baja, all modified to various levels.
Its only in the last couple of years I've become interested in water cooled VW's helped along the way by my mate Ross who's always been a H2O devotee. poor sod has had a bad weekend ! he stuffed his VR6 mk2 golf into a tree on saturday and on sunday his Caddy's engine died.
However we have an 8V GTI waiting in the wings we were going to break, so it looks like the Caddy is going to become a GTI.
This is only my second golf, the first being a mk2 driver that i put the bits on to look like a GTI, however you cant beat the real thing so I bought this one.
And I love it to bits ! I must do I've had it over six months which is quite a record for me !! I have averaged three cars a year since passing my test ten years ago.

I just bought this, it was a bargain I couldent miss, I've been after a 90 spec golf 2 gti for years. It came with some odd 13"wheels that I think might be from a polo? its lucky it was a bitterly cold day when I drove it home as if it had got hot I think the calipers and wheels would have clashed ! as there was only a tiny gap.
I'm fitting some 15" alloy five spoke rims from a corrado which look much better.
UPDATE
I had fitted 17" bbs rc's but they clashed with the arches too much, shame, superb rims.
Its now wearing 15" seven spokes, which actually give a much better ride.
Also now lowered 60mm with sport shocks.
full custom stainless exhaust, twin dtm style, 2.5" bore.
Chipped ECU.
Pipercross induction kit.
Pioneer head unit, kenwood sub and speakers.
Drilled and grooved front discs.
Just picked this up for free !

A rare find,
its actually a daihatsu F50, the only one on here I believe.
