I was like a lot of people; Used to think a mini was a car for clowns. Then about 5 years ago I went on a cross Tennessee drive, with the English Auto society, from Knoxville, Tn, In my dads Mini. The beginning of the day started out very wet. That didn't seem to matter to the mini though, we drove up the mountain to New Found Gap ( the starting point for the drive) running at a pretty good pace for a rainy morning. I was looking for anything to hold on to. The Mini never even attempted to slide in the curves. It was like a street legal go cart. I was in love. I had to have one 2 years later with a little help from my dad; I had the Stars and stripes. I wanted it painted this way; as my parents had raced a mini when my dad was stationed in England in the 60's. They were the only Americans autocrossing in southern England there fore they painted their Mini with the Stars and stripes. more later........
