I really hate it when things break down at the wrong place and the wrong time.

My uncle Josh had passed on his old 1999 Buick LeSabre to my cousin, Jason, last month, as a birthday present. Two days after it was given, we took it for a good spin around town. It was a bright and sunny day when we left the house, and the car was in good working condition, so we didn't worry about rain.

But as usual... Rain came when we least expected it.

The rain was just a light drizzle, but the wind was seriously picking it up to my direction in the passenger seat. I began to push the window switch (we had the windows down all the time because the air conditioning was broken), but surprisingly the window refused to go up! Good thing that we were already near my house when the rain began.

I got  my left side drenched with the rain, and the passenger side was also damp. We had to air it out for a few days. So the Buick stayed in my garage for a couple of sunny days. And while it was there, I checked out the reason why the window didn't work, and realized that the Buick LeSabre Window Motor had been seriously burned out as the window track was really grimy. I checked all the other windows, and they were as dirty as the passenger side was.

So, as a post-birthday gift, I gave his windows a little lovin. Had it cleaned up, replaced the window motors, and added a Buick LeSabre Vent Visor to the whole package. Now I won't be expecting to get wet anymore when the next rain comes along.
