Hi I'm the Co-Founder and Software Engineer here at Boompa.com. My partner in this site, Dave, and I both worked for CNET.com where we built some rather large sites.
What's with the funny Web site name?
Well Boompa.com is named after my late Grandfather Harold Lance, who was a car nut, and who we grandchilden always call Boompa. Some of his cars.
Aparently he got the nickname from the Jimmy Stewart movie "Mr Hobbs Takes a Vacation", about a grumpy guy.
