Unfortunately not much is known about the history of this car.
I bought it in the summer of 2002 from a farmer at Starnberger See in Germany who had driven it just for one year (and never gave it any mainenance)
It had the wrong seats, the wrong wheels, the wrong mirrors, the wrong radio, a lot of excess electric cabeling and was just terrible to drive, hopping through every corner - and I loved it!
We were quite busy to remove modifications rather than make our own and it is starting to look the way it should. I don't think I want to go all the way, though.
People who know the 63 Corvette might notice, that the tires are actually too big and the chassis too low. It was that way when I bought it and I quite like it like this. Also I have never seen the interior in red and white like this, I'd be interested to know if Chevrolet ever had a model with this interior. Looks great, though :-)
Wow, awesome ride. Looks like it's in amazing shape too. How's it run?
Man I love your user photo! "brrrrr... brrrrrrrrr... brrrrrr" Haha!
Germany is awesome, your guys have some awesome driving roads over there. Specially the scenic backroads. Excellent photos.
Thanks, guys :-)
It's actually not in top shape, but is a lot of fun to drive. Seems to me we should switch countries - since you seem to love german cars and I like american ones ;-)
@ethan: I like your user photo, too. I bet noone has been able to get a "normal" passport photo of you, am I right?
