Building my own Lotus Seven clone. Body work and frame is Leugo Locost, spindles and brakes are Hyundai Stellar (MkIII Cortina copy), rear axle is Hyundai Pony (Ford Escort MkII copy), Ford Escort MkII steering rack, Minilite copy wheels. I'm going with a Toyota 4AGE motor with dual Weber carbs.

Nice. You may enjoy this video of a Super 7 doing some pretty precision driving.

Ah this is interesting. So your building a Locust? My Dad used to race Super 7's back when I was just a kid. I have always wanted to get one since. Have you checked out Birkin and Caterhams before you went with a Locust?

Yeah I building one - buying the frame and bodywork. I went with Leugo - good quality but much cheaper than Caterham or Birkin. More work too.

Well good luck. We have a guides section maybe you can post some pics of the work as you go and explain some of the progress.

Nice, tried to do one of these based off a 944 turbo. . .bought the donor car and everything (impulsive). Then I found out that the 944 had a transaxle that would not fit under the seat of the locost. . .oh well. . .now I have a 944 Turbo track car ;)
