Hi there !
You would be very kind to tell me where did you get the scimitar ? in australia ? in UK ?
I can see there is no registration plates on it, so where did you buy it ?
thanks
eric
I bought it from a friend of mine - he saved it from a local scrapyard. Apparently it was orig owner by a university prof who brought in from Ireland when it was fairly new. Mine was very, very rough - needed a lot of work so I sold it on to another guy. I still know where it is (at a Brit car shop in Calgary but it does need quite a bit of work). It should be relatively easy to import a good one from the UK.
Building my own Lotus Seven clone. Body work and frame is Leugo Locost, spindles and brakes are Hyundai Stellar (MkIII Cortina copy), rear axle is Hyundai Pony (Ford Escort MkII copy), Ford Escort MkII steering rack, Minilite copy wheels. I'm going with a Toyota 4AGE motor with dual Weber carbs.
350cid V8, 4bbl carb, 4spd close ratio manual, posi rear. Power estimated (not stock - headers, aftermarket cam, ported heads).
360 cid V8 / auto. Captain's chairs, wood panelling, shag carpet and rear seat folded to bed.
Picked this up as a temporary vehicle for getting my Seven parts
(mostly the engine). $400 and runs like a champ. I got kinda attached to it ... but sold it anyway.
12A engine with 5spd. Great interior, good body (one bad spot of rust
behind rear wheel) with sunroof, four wheel disc brakes, limited slip
diff, RacingBeat exhaust header, Aluminum 11lb flywheel (stock is steel
26 lbs) straight through exhaust to a dynaflow muffler (load and annoying). Power windows
and mirrors.
