Brake Hardware

How it was Used: the wheel sylinder on the right rear wheel was leaking and the entire brake system wasn't very effective, so in efforts to finish each section entirely and not have to come back for patchwork later, I replaced all the wheel cylinders and got new brake hardware for all four drums. I cleaned all the unner brake drums with brakleen (including drying the brake fluid from all around the right rear). I also painted the parts of the brake drum that show and all of the backing plate black. It so happened that i had to paint the right front backing plate twice because when I was bleeding the brakes, the wheel cylinder leaked and streams of brake fluid flowed down, leaving streaks of bare metal on my shiney black backing plate.
